My new drink obsession is Vitamin Water. I love it. Balance is my favorite flavor. I usually don't like flavored water because it's too sweet or leaves a weird taste in my mouth. But this stuff is great. No artificial sweeteners. It has about 125 calories per 20 oz bottle. So that's where I have to be careful. At 125 cal and about $1.00/bottle, one a day should be my limit. I love it enough to fore go the afternoon trip to Sonic and to skip an afternoon snack to afford ($ and calorie-wise) my new drink.
Side note: You might notice a new look to my blog! Our cousin, Shelley, is a blog specialist and redecorated my blog! I love the new look! Thanks Shelley!

Hoopin' It Up
The goal can adjust for pint-sized dunkin'!
Taylor showing off some of her moves!
Marc was on vacation the second week of January. It was great having him around all week! He was a lot of help....he fixed the kids' bikes, put up a basketball goal and helped me organized the playroom and AJ's room. I'm not sure who was more excited about the goal....Marc or the kids. Taylor has been learning the basics of basketball in pre-athletics and Andrew just loves to shot the ball. It was fun to see all three of my sweeties hoopin' it up!

You are always on my mind.....
No, I'm not talking about my sweet hubby. I'm talking about the ocean!! I can't wait to get back to the ocean. I dream about it at least once a week. Is it an obsession? My hope is that someday we will be able to go twice a year....once just us and once with the kids. It is just so beautiful. I love the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. I love that I can look and look without seeing the end. I think it is truly one of God's most magnificent creations.
The picture is of the sunrise from our hotel. My sister-in-law Nicki took this from their room which was just three doors down from ours.
Hope all of ya'll are having a great Monday!

Popcorn
Andrew and I were eating lunch at the coffee table. I took a Cheeto off his plate and he said "Why are you taking my Cheetos?" I told him I didn't have any more. He said "Yeah, ya do...right there." I said "It fell on the floor and I don't want to eat it." He says to me "Just eat it, it won't make you sick, I promise. I've eaten popcorn off the floor a million times and it's never made me sick!" Good to know!
American Girl
Taylor and I started the New Year with a road trip to the American Girl Boutique & Bistro in Dallas! Santa Claus provided lodging and gas for the trip. Taylor did dog sitting, extra chores at home and saved her allowance, birthday and Christmas money for the trip. We stayed at the Westin which is attached to the Galleria. That is the way to go! It was so convenient! Everything we needed was at the mall and I was glad not to have to drive anywhere.
We got to the hotel around 3:30 on Thursday. We were going to check in, freshen up and head over to the AG store. Well....our hotel room wasn't ready. We weren't about to sit around when AG was just a stone's throw from us. So, off we went in our traveling clothes to AG with Taylor's two dolls in tow. The first stop at AG was the Doll Hair Salon. Taylor decided to drop her girls off since it would be about 3 hours before they would be ready. The salon was doing a business! At a minimum of $10 per doll, it's a money maker. We took our time looking around and taking in the coolness of seeing in person all the things we've enjoyed looking at in the catalog. It didn't take Taylor long to find Ivy, the doll she was hoping to purchase. She bought Ivy and a few sets of clothing and then we went back to the hotel to check in and eat dinner.
Over dinner, Taylor was thinking about her purchases and how much money she had left. She decided to return the clothing and get another doll!!! I told her to think about it overnight since that's a big purchase. We went to get the girls from the hair salon and they looked lovely! We did more shopping/looking and closed down the Galleria.
The next day we had reservations at the AG Bistro for lunch. Taylor said she was sure she wanted another doll so we headed over to make the exchanges. Mia, the 2008 Girl of the Year, was her choice. She's very cute and has very pretty hair. Soon it was time for lunch. The bistro is really cute. Very girly with various shades of pink and green. The food was good and we enjoyed lunching together like fancy ladies! :)
Before we knew it, it was time to hit the road and head home. Taylor made an excellent co-pilot reading me the MapQuest directions once we got into Dallas and then when we were leaving.
We had a great time! It was such a blessing to me for us to have that special time together!
